Birding Tour Gift Certificates

Give a guided Texas birding tour — good for a full year

A guided birding tour is a gift a birder will actually use — and remember. It's perfect for Christmas, a birthday, a retirement, Mother's or Father's Day, or the birder on your list who already owns every field guide. A gift certificate lets them book a half-day, 3/4-day, or full-day tour on their own schedule, for whatever they most want to see: the Golden-cheeked Warbler, the Black-capped Vireo, Whooping Cranes, spring migration on the coast, or a lifer they've been chasing for years.

What's included

Every tour includes guiding for 1–2 birders, target planning built around what they want to find, help for any skill level (no experience needed), photography tips if they'd like them, and a written trip report with the full bird list afterward. Bringing a friend or two? Additional birders are just $50 each, paid when the trip is booked. See the full details on the Prices page.

How it works

1. Message me with the tour you'd like to give (half, 3/4, or full day) and who it's for.
2. Pay by Venmo @texashawgs. Need another payment option? Just contact me.
3. I'll send you a numbered gift certificate for that specific tour — emailed, or mailed if you'd like something to wrap.
4. The recipient contacts me to book their date whenever they're ready.

Good to know

• Every certificate is issued for a specific guided tour (never a dollar amount) and is good for 12 months from the date of purchase — the expiration date is printed right on the certificate. A full year means they can pick the best season for their target bird.
• Gift-certificate purchases are non-refundable (they are transferable — the recipient can pass it along).
• Certificates can be applied toward any tour, including multi-day trips to the Rio Grande Valley or Big Bend — the certificate's value comes off the quoted trip.
• Tours cancelled for weather are rescheduled, never lost.
